UPDATE 1:00 p.m.:
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office said a 42-year-old man is in jail after he carjacked a cargo van while intoxicated and drove through the front of a Bonita Springs gym on Tuesday night.

LCSO: man carjacks van, smashes through Smash Fitness in Bonita Springs
The sheriff’s office said deputies responded to the Holiday Inn Express on Crown Lake Blvd after getting reports of a carjacking around 11:30 Tuesday night. Later, deputies found the vehicle, a cargo van, smashed through the front doors of the nearby Smash Fitness location on Bonita Beach Rd.
Body camera footage from responding deputies shows the cargo van inside the gym surrounded by debris, energy drinks and protein powder, but no driver inside.
Moments later deputies, with the help of a K9 unit, tracked down the suspected driver, 42-year-old Adam Naylor in the parking lot.
Naylor was arrested and faces carjacking, DUI, property damage, and leaving the scene of a crash charges. He was previously arrested in 2007 for disorderly intoxication and resisting arrest.

The following morning employees of Smash Fitness were seen cleaning up the mess Naylor had left behind. They told Fox 4 that one employee was inside the gym at the time but was not hurt in the incident. They also said Smash Fitness has another location in the same plaza that its patrons can use while repairs are made to the affected gym.

Early Wednesday morning, a car crashed through one of the Smash Fitness locations in Bonita Springs off US 41.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office says someone stole a car, then crashed it into the building.
K-9 units later found the suspect, and that person has been arrested.
