England’s Laurie Canter beat compatriot Daniel Brown and Spain’s Pablo Larrazabal in a three-way play-off to claim victory at the Bahrain Championship.
Canter won with a birdie at the first play-off hole to secure his second career DP World Tour win.
Larrazabal had looked set for victory after a birdie at the 13th moved him into the outright lead on 15 under.
Four successive pars followed, but a missed six-foot putt for par on the 18th green saw the Spaniard drop back level with Canter and Brown, who carded three-under 69 and two-under 70 respectively in their final rounds.
Canter took control of the first play-off hole when he found the fairway with his drive, with Larrazabal finding the water and Brown the bunker.
Larrazabal and Brown were unable to recover and both registered bogeys, giving Canter two shots for the win.
The Englishman only needed one, rolling in from four feet to secure the title.
