For the second straight year, The Republic 100, our look at the biggest employers, shows little change in the overall workforces at these companies.
In early September, discount grocery store chain Aldi announced that it would be hiring over 13,000 workers for the upcoming holiday season and increasing national average pay to $18 or $23 per hour, depending on the position and the market.
The national chain already employs over 49,000 workers and is hoping to increase that number to 60,000 with its new hiring initiative.
Aldi currently has 12 locations in Arizona in the metro Phoenix area from Queen Creek to Tempe, Phoenix and Buckeye.
Here’s a look at the available positions in metro Phoenix, their benefits and what they’re paying.

Aldi warehouse workers can make up to $23 an hour.
Does Aldi have warehouse jobs in Arizona?
The closest Aldi warehouse is in California, which means that Arizonans won’t be able to take advantage of the $ 23-an-hour positions, which are only for warehouse workers.
Which Aldi locations in Arizona are hiring?
At the time of writing, there are 13 open positions at Aldi locations in Arizona, according to the chain’s hiring website.
The locations hiring include stores in Peoria, Glendale, Tempe, Mesa, Queen Creek, Gilbert and Phoenix.
The majority of the openings are for part-time seasonal cashiers and stockers. The starting wage for that position is $17.50 and is not eligible for benefits.
Which Arizona Aldi store is hiring full-time?
The Aldi in Tempe is hiring a full-time store associate. Although the starting wage is $17.50 an hour, there are planned wage increases of $.50 a year for the next four years. The position is also eligible for benefits including 6 weeks of fully-paid parental leave.
