A Crunch Fitness franchisee is bringing bring a new gym to North Dallas.
CR Fitness Holdings LLC, the largest franchisee in the country for Crunch Fitness, is behind the $5 million, 30,000-square-foot Crunch Central Forest. It will be located at 11615 North Central Expy., according to a Jan. 10 announcement, replacing an Office Depot.
Crunch Central Forest will be among the first facilities with the gym’s new 3.0 design. The redesign features a group fitness studio, a training area with indoor turf, hot yoga, cycle classes, tanning and HydroMassage beds, among other changes. For Crunch 3.0, individual franchise owners have the flexibility to select which specific elements they want in their gym to better reflect the local market’s preferences. The first Crunch 3.0 design was unveiled at the opening of Crunch East Plano in early December.
The gym will join the 12,355-square-foot Central Forest Shopping Center, located at Forest Lane and North Central Expressway. Other tenants include Zalat Pizza, Quest Diagnostics, Ashton Podiatry Associates, Audelia Medical Center and Asian Mint. Property records indicate the shopping center owner is New Central Forest S/C Ltd.
The facility is projected to open in the late summer 2025. Early memberships are available for a discounted rate of $9.99 per month, with $0 enrollment fees. The first 500 members will receive incentives such as discounts on small group and personal training sessions.
CR Fitness Holdings operates 74 locations across Texas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee, with plans to reach 100 locations by 2026. CEO Tony Scrimale expressed his excitement in expanding Crunch 3.0 to Dallas, and has future plans to expand into Arizona.
