As Los Angeles residents continue to evacuate from almost a week of wildfires, brands are stepping up to give back to those in need.
The athletic merch and apparel site, Fanatics, has partnered with LA sports teams on a series of “LA Strong” T-shirts, with proceeds going towards the Red Cross. In an extraordinary show of unity, all the major professional sporting leagues endorsed this collection, allowing the team logos to be used for charitable purposes. That includes the MLB, NBA, NHL, MLS and others.
Fanatics says their company, the leagues, and the participating sports teams “will not profit from the sale of the LA Strong merchandise,” with donations going “directly to the American Red Cross and the LA Fire Department Foundation.” The Red Cross has been providing supplies and emergency shelter assistance to residents who have had to flee their homes. The LA Fire Department Foundation, meantime, provides much support and equipment to first responders.
Here’s a look at some of the “LA Strong” merch available to shop now, to support the wildfire recovery efforts. The unisex tees are available in sizes small to 3XL and are expected to sell quickly, as people look to help.
