On Wednesday, the Dallas Mavericks lost to the Minnesota Timberwovles (at home) by a score of 105-99.

Despite the loss, Kyrie Irving went off for 39 points, four rebounds, two assists and one block while shooting 14/27 from the field and 5/14 from the three-point range in 37 minutes of playing time.

The 2016 NBA Champion also made history.

Irving continues to have an All-Star type season for Dallas.

The future Hall of Famer is now averaging 24.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 49.1% from the field and 44.4% from the three-point range in 27 games.

After a rough tenure with the Brooklyn Nets, Irving seems to have found a home in Dallas.

Last season, he helped lead the franchise to the NBA Finals for the first time in 13 years (when Dirk Nowitzki was still on the roster).
