Kristin Juszczyk, the wife of San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk called out Fox News for a headline indicating she “shut down” Vice President Kamala Harris’ request for one of her viral custom reworked jackets during Superbowl 58 weekend.
The clothing designer addressed the “misleading headline” in an Instagram story.
“This is a completely loaded headline,” Juszczyk said. “If you read the article I say that I had no help last year so I couldn’t fulfill any last minute request.”
Juszczyk’s story also said she found it “hilarious” how outlets publish certain headlines to “push their own agenda.”
“Please don’t just read headlines,” the Instagram story said.

In the Fox News article, Juszczyk said she got the request from Harris, an avid 49ers fan, at a horrible time.
“During the Super Bowl, I got a text from my agent, and that’s when things were going crazy. He was like, ‘Hey, the vice president wants a jacket.’ I’m like, ‘What company?’ He’s like, ‘The country,'” she told the outlet.
Juszczyk went on to explain how she did not have the bandwidth to make Harris a jacket, which had gone viral after being worn by singer Taylor Swift, Olympian Simone Biles and actor Taylor Lautner.
“Unfortunately, at that time, I had no help and no ways of being able to make more stuff,” she said, per Fox News. “There was just no time. But that’s always a funny story that stuck out to me. I’m like, ‘This is going crazy. I got a request from the White House.’”
The virality of the jackets came as a shock to Juszczyk who said she “had never made anything for anybody else.”
“I was always hesitant because I’m a perfectionist at my heart, and (it would bring) it to a whole other level if I were handing it to somebody else. I’m no professional whatsoever, I’m completely self-taught,” she told Fox News.
“But I finally took that leap of faith last year, and it’s been such a fun process. I’m learning every single day. I love a challenge. I love being able to pick up new things in life and learn it. This is something that, no matter how long I do it, I’ll always be learning.”
Fox News has not changed the headline of the article as of Friday.
