Sovereignty, second choice in Las Vegas futures for Kentucky Derby 2025, worked Friday for trainer Bill Mott.
The Into Mischief colt hasn’t raced since he broke his maiden in the Grade 3 Street Sense, his third start. He was at 18-1 in Nevada futures this week, behind Barnes, and 21-1 in pool 3 of the Kentucky Derby Future Wager.
Friday’s work was Sovereignty’s third since winning the Street Sense. He breezed four furlongs in 49.2 seconds at Payson Park, 13th fastest of 16 at the distance.
Sovereignty was one of six horses in Nevada odds for the Kentucky Derby with published works Friday.

Coal Battle (Coal Front) worked five furlongs in 1:06.8 at Delta Downs on Friday morning. It was the slowest of five works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going four furlongs at Delta Downs. In his last start he won the Smarty Jones going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Oaklawn on Jan. 4 for trainer Lonnie Briley.
Colloquial (Vekoma) worked four furlongs in 49.8 seconds at Palm Beach Downs on Friday morning. It was the 22nd fastest of 24 works at the distance. His previous work was seven days ago going five furlongs at Palm Beach Downs. In his last start he placed second in a maiden race going five furlongs on the main track at Belmont at the Big A on June 15 for trainer George Weaver.
Cyclone State (McKinzie) worked five furlongs in 1:00.2 at Palm Meadows on Friday morning. It was the fastest of seven works at the distance. His previous work was nine days ago going four furlongs at Palm Meadows. In his last start he won the Jerome going one mile on the main track at Aqueduct on Jan. 4 for trainer Chad Summers.
Filoso (City of Light) worked four furlongs in 48.7 seconds at Palm Meadows on Friday morning. It was the 13th fastest of 46 works at the distance. His previous work was eight days ago going four furlongs at Palm Meadows. In his last start he placed sixth in the Kentucky Jockey Club (G2) going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Churchill Downs on Nov. 30 for trainer Chad Summers.
Vassimo (Nyquist) worked four furlongs in 48.5 seconds at Palm Beach Downs on Friday morning. It was the second fastest of 24 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he won an allowance race going one mile and 40 yards on the main track at Tampa Bay Downs on Jan. 17 for trainer Todd Pletcher.
