Three horses in Kentucky Derby futures wagering worked bullets Monday morning.
Patch Adams, a last-out maiden winner for
Brad Cox, earned a five-furlong bullet at Payson Park with a drill in
1:01.2. It was his third and longest work since that race. Patch Adams
closed at 22-1 in the second KDFW pool and was the 22-1 third choice in
Las Vegas as of Sunday.
Magnitude, in his first work since a
second-place finish in the Gun Runner on Dec. 21, worked a bullet five
furlongs in 1:00.6 at Fair Grounds. The Steve Asmussen trainee closed at
168-1 in the second pool of the Kentucky Derby Future Wager through
Churchill Downs and was 90-1 at the Caesars sportsbook in Las Vegas as
of Sunday.
Tiztastic also worked five furlongs in 1:00.6 at Fair Grounds on Monday, earning the joint bullet along with Magnitude. Tiztastic, also trained by Steve Asmussen, was working for the fourth time since a third-place finish in the Kentucky Jockey Club (G2) at Churchill Downs. He closed at 86-1 in the second KDFW pool and was 65-1 in Las Vegas on Sunday.

Jonathan’s Way (Vekoma), a Grade 3 winner (2024 Iroquois), worked three furlongs in 36.2 seconds at Fair Grounds on Monday morning. It was the fifth fastest of 15 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he placed second in the Kentucky Jockey Club (G2) going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Churchill Downs on Nov. 30 for trainer Phil Bauer.
Magnitude (Not This Time) worked five furlongs in 1:00.6 at Fair Grounds on Monday morning. It was the fastest of 23 works at the distance. This was his first work since his last race. In his last start he placed second in the Gun Runner going 1 1/16 miles on the main track at Fair Grounds on Dec. 21 for trainer Steve Asmussen.
Patch Adams (Into Mischief) worked five furlongs in 1:01.2 at Payson Park on Monday morning. It was the fastest of three works at the distance. His previous work was six days ago going four furlongs at Payson Park. In his last start he won a maiden race going seven furlongs on the main track at Churchill Downs on Nov. 30 for trainer Brad Cox.
Rapture (Uncle Mo) worked four furlongs in 50.8 seconds at Payson Park on Monday morning. It was the 52nd fastest of 61 works at the distance. His previous work was six days ago going four furlongs at Payson Park. In his last start he placed second in a maiden race going one mile on the main track at Gulfstream Park on Dec. 14 for trainer Brad Cox.

His previous work was eight days ago going five furlongs at Fair Grounds.
