The Kentucky Wildcats will open the 2024-25 college basketball season as a top-25 squad in each of the two major polls.
First, it was the AP Top 25 that had the Cats checking in at No. 23 in the country.
Now, the Coaches Top 25 has Kentucky also slotted No. 23 overall.
Taking home the top spot is Kansas, followed by Alabama, UConn, Houston, and Duke to round out the top five.
Also making the poll from the SEC is No. 11 Auburn, No. 12 Tennessee, No. 15 Texas A&M, No. 16 Arkansas, No. 19 Texas, No. 21 Florida, and No. 25 Ole Miss.
In addition to Duke, Kentucky also has a game at No. 7 Gonzaga in non-conference play.
