Tennis power couple Katie Boulter and Alex de Minaur have announced their engagement.
The pair have been a together for almost five years, and took to Instagram to share the news that they are to get married.
In a post on social media, Boulter, 28, can be seen wrapping her left arm around de Minaur, 25, with her diamond engagement ring on show.
They captioned the upload: “We’ve been keeping a small secret…”
The announcement has gained over 30,000 likes already, with fellow British tennis star Emma Raducanu among those to congratulate the happy couple.
The 2021 US Open champion commented: “Congrats!!”
Compatriots Laura Robson and Heather Watson could also be spotted in the comments section to share their delight at the news.
Retired former star Robson wrote: “You cutieesss. Best pre-season news ever”.
Meanwhile, Boulter’s international teammate Watson replied to the news: “You two beauties.”
The official announcement comes just a week after the British number one appeared to tease some good news.
In an Instagram post from seven days ago, Boulter shared a snap of herself in front of the sea in Alicante, with the sunset backdrop appearing to be the same as their engagement selfie.
Alongside it, she wrote: “Today was a good day.”
The couple have been together for almost five years, having began dating in March 2020.
They are the currently top-ranked players for their respective nations, with Leicester-born Boulter 24 in the WTA rankings, while Aussie de Minaur is flying high at world number nine.
Having met on the professional circuit, the stars are regularly seen supporting each other from the stands when their schedules allow.
In July, de Minaur enjoyed an impressive run to the quarter-finals at Wimbledon, and received huge support from the British crowd due in no small part to his relationship with Boulter.
This prompted him to jokingly refer to himself as an ‘honorary Brit’.
Ahead of his last eight clash with Djokovic, de Minaur said: “Oh, 100 per cent. I’ll take all the support I can get. I can be the honorary Brit here at Wimbledon.
“I do feel very loved out there, I must say. I always love coming here to Wimbledon and playing here. I always feel like I play some of my best tennis.”
And while both are predominantly singles players, they have taken to the court together to play mixed doubles.
The popular pairing partnered each other at the All England Club in 2023, but were eliminated in the second round.
However, the lovebirds will soon find themselves on opposing sides in the upcoming United Cup.
Great Britain and Australia have been drawn against each other for the international tournament, which features mixed-gender teams, and will face off on December 31.
There are two singles matches and a mixed doubles clash in every United Cup clash, meaning the recently-engaged couple could play against each other if selected for the doubles.
