Former Iowa coach Lisa Bluder is so excited to see her former Hawkeye, Kate Martin, get the recognition she deserves in the WNBA.

Kate Martin was impressive in her Unrivaled basketball debut.
The former Iowa women’s basketball star and current WNBA player for the new expansion team, the Golden State Valkyries, was key in the Laces‘ dominant 86-48 victory over the Phantom.
Martin notched a double-double with 12 points and a game-high 10 rebounds, as well as two steals, one assist and two 3-pointers on 5-of-10 shooting from the field. Martin hit the final shot of the game which sealed the victory.
The Laces hit the court again at 8:30 p.m. CT on Monday, Jan. 20 against the Mist.
