Parkland College Athletics and Cobras Basketball are proud to announce Jimmie Daly as an assistant coach for the Parkland Cobras men’s basketball program. Daly joins the coaching staff after spending the last two years as an assistant coach at Rogers State University in Claremore, Oklahoma.
At RSU, Daly helped lead the men’s basketball team to a 17-12 record in the 2023-2024 season and a 16-13 record in the 2022-2023 season. Daly was also heavily involved in player development, and helped to develop six All-MIAA Players during his two years at the school.
Daly is originally from Boulder City, Nevada. He attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Finance in 2020 and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction in 2022. While earning his bachelor’s degree at UNLV, Daly was the Head Student Manager for the men’s basketball team. As a graduate student, he was a Graduate Assistant Coach. In this role, Daly was primarily responsible for scouting, video projects, and assisting with the program’s daily operations. During his six years at UNLV, Daly coached under Marvin Menzies (Head Coach, UMKC), TJ Otzelberger (Head Coach, Iowa State), and Kevin Kruger (Head Coach, UNLV).
In addition to his coaching experience at RSU and UNLV, Daly has also been a volunteer manager for the USA Basketball team and served as a team assistant for the Philadelphia 76ers during the NBA Summer League.
