NORMAN — OU football’s staff restructuring continues.
Josh Norman announced Wednesday that he’s leaving his post as director of S.O.U.L. Mission, a position he’s held since 2022, to begin a new role as the executive director at Santa Fe Family Life Center in Oklahoma City.
“The University of Oklahoma has been more than just a workplace — it has been a home and a foundation,” Norman wrote in a Facebook post. “My time here has been marked by growth, unforgettable memories and relationships that have shaped me.”
A running back and wide receiver for the Sooners from 1998-2001, Norman was a member of OU’s 2000 national championship team. After his time at OU, Norman spent four seasons in the NFL.
Curtis Lofton, also a former Director of S.O.U.L. Mission, stepped down as the Sooners’ general manager on Jan. 16. Ryan Young is the senior director of S.O.U.L. Mission and former OU linebacker Caleb King-Kelly is also a director of S.O.U.L. Mission.
S.O.U.L. Mission — Serving Our Uncommon Legacy — is a program Sooners coach Brent Venables created to support players’ interests outside of football.
“To my OU family — thank you for the lessons, the laughter, and the victories,” Norman wrote. “OU will always hold a special place in my heart. A closed chapter doesn’t mean the end of the book.”
