Joselu Mato, former Real Madrid and Espanyol striker, now playing for Al-Gharafa in Qatar, has embarked on a new digital venture by launching his own YouTube channel. The Spanish international plans to use the platform to share insights into his daily life, both on the field and at home with his family.
Partnering with Beiz Agency, his marketing representation, the project has started with resounding success. Within just 12 hours of launching, the channel surpassed three million views, thanks to an engaging trailer introducing the upcoming content. Joselu’s first video, set to premiere on December 23, will kick off a documentary series detailing his experiences.
In the teaser, Joselu shares humorous and heartfelt moments, including a playful comment about Cristiano Ronaldo while holding the Portuguese star’s jersey: “It doesn’t even smell bad,” he jokes. The 57-second clip also highlights his family life, with his children wishing him luck before a game, and his passion for paddle tennis, a sport he enjoys in his downtime.
Reflecting on his time at Real Madrid, where he won both LaLiga and the Champions League last season, Joselu admits he cherishes the bonds he built: “That year helped everything go well, and I try to maintain a great relationship with everyone.” The trailer also features appearances with Fernando Hierro, Nacho, and Cristiano Ronaldo, emphasizing the camaraderie he shares with former teammates.
Joselu speaks positively about his new home, noting how he and his family have embraced life in Qatar: “We feel like it’s our home. It’s a country that has welcomed us very well.” His seamless adaptation is evident in the enthusiasm he conveys in the video.
As he looks forward to sharing more of his journey, Joselu encourages fans to support his channel: “Don’t forget to subscribe. I hope you enjoy it,” he says in closing.
