John Daly and Bryson DeChambeau’s eagerly anticipated ‘Break 50’ episode is officially in the books. As the latest guest on golf’s version of ‘Hot Ones,’ Daly put on a show, hitting barefoot bombs and downing his signature Good Boy cocktails like pitchers of ice-cold lemonade on a hot summer day. That last detail is particularly notable not for the quantity Daly consumed—upwards of 20 by his count—but by how he stored them, in the, ahem, coolest golf-course cooler you have ever or will ever see. Take it away, king.
We never thought a cooler would be the viral highlight of Bryson and Big John’s ‘Break 50,’ but then again, we never expected that cooler to be hidden beneath the Dallas Cowboys-emblazoned hood of a faux hot rod golf cart. In hindsight, we should have seen it coming, but it’s good to know that good ol’ boy still has a few surprises up his sleeve.
Unfortunately, the dynamic duo didn’t manage to crack the mythical 50 barrier playing from the red tees at Old Hickory Country Club, but at least we know the drinks stayed frosty.
