Golf icon John Daly has shared a snapshot from his hospital bed following an emergency hand surgery.
The weary-looking Daly gave a thumbs up from his hospital bed, captioning the social media post: “Emergency hand surgery…
“Thankful went great and Doc McClimans for taking care of me. Be back playing in no time!”.
The circumstances surrounding the 58 year old’s injury remain unclear. Just last month, he participated in the PNC Championship with his son, John Daly II.
He has missed the first two PGA Tour events of the year and was not able to make his comeback as hoped in The American Express PGA Tour event taking place this week. “After consulting with my medical team, I have made the decision to withdraw from next week’s American Express tournament to give my injury more time to heal,” Scheffler recently posted on Instagram.
“I am still hopeful to begin my 2025 season at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.”
Like Scheffler, Daly is also looking forward to returning to the golf course soon, although it remains unclear when exactly that might be.
