GREENSBORO, N.C. — Louisville women’s basketball will be without guards Jayda Curry and Merissah Russell in its ACC Tournament opener against No. 14-seeded Clemson on Thursday night.
Imari Berry will get her first collegiate start as Curry’s replacement.
Curry and Russell have unspecified injuries and are considered day to day for the sixth-seeded Cardinals, who had a first-round bye in the tournament. Curry leads the team with 13.4 points and 3.1 assists per game and was named to the All-ACC first team. She came off the bench to start the season but entered the starting lineup against Boston College on Dec. 29.
Russell started three games this season and is averaging 4.6 points and 2.3 rebounds for the Cardinals.
