Jalen Milroe, a native of Katy, Texas, attended Alabama out of high school. Per 247Sports, Milroe signed with Alabama over a boatload of offers that included Texas, Florida and more.
Milroe was a four-star quarterback at Tompkins High School. He was ranked a top-100 player in the country, the No. 13 quarterback in the class of 2021 and the No. 14 player in Texas, depending on the recruiting service.
Milroe lead his school to a 9-0 record in the 2020 COVID season, passing for 1,136 yards and 13 touchdowns while rushing for 259 yards and four touchdowns. As a junior, he passed for 2,689 yards and 29 touchdowns while rushing for 300 yards and seven touchdowns.
The Texas played in the Under Armour All-American Game.
In the two seasons Milroe started at Alabama, he went 21-6. In his third year overall (2023 season), Milroe led Alabama to an SEC title and an appearance in the College Football Playoff. In his final season, Milroe played in the ReliaQuest Bowl.
