As much as anyone, Jack Nicholson helped define the glitzy cool of sitting courtside at an NBA game. Appropriately, the Lakers stalwart — along with Spike Lee, Billy Crystal and Alan Howitz — are being honored by the Nasmith Hall of Fame as part of the Hall’s 2024 Enshrinement Weekend.

Lee is being honored for his passionate promotion to the New York Knicks, with Crystal and real estate mogul Horwitz included for their devotion to the Philadelphia 76ers. The ceremony will take place on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 10 a.m. PT on the Jerry Colangelo Court of Dreams.
“We are excited to welcome Billy Crystal, Alan Horwitz, Spike Lee, and Jack Nicholson into our SuperFan family,” John L. Doleva, President and CEO of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame said in a statement. “These individuals have not only been passionate fans but have also significantly contributed to the rich culture of basketball. Their unwavering dedication to the game and their ability to connect with fans make them truly deserving of this recognition.”
