The Jazz are 3-0 in preseason so far, with wins over the New Zealand Breakers, the Rockets and the Mavericks. Luka Doncic took the night off against the Jazz, which I don’t expect to happen on opening day when the Spurs play the Mavs, so the undefeated record may not be as impressive as it looks. The Jazz is still much improved from last year, and they might be in the mix for a play-in slot this year.
The Spurs played their starters for the first time on Wednesday against the Magic, and after a slow start, the Silver and Black won easily as the reserves took over late. Victor Wembanyama didn’t have is best game on Wednesday, but he’s capable of dominating the game even when he doesn’t play well. With the regular season less than two weeks away, it would be nice to see him play 15-20 minutes tonight and develop a rhythm on offense that was lacking against the Magic. After that, Spurs fans can relax as fan favorites like Sandro Mamukelashvili take over the game and Stephon demonstrates that he’s already ready to play big minutes this season. Let’s tune in and watch, and remember the score doesn’t count, but player performances matter.

Stephon Castle will shoot 25 free throws and foul out 3 Jazz players.
One final word:
Go Spurs GOOOOOO!!
