Exhibitor booth space sells out as Colorado Golf Expo set for 2025 run; World Long Drive presence provides a different vibe this time around
By Gary Baines – 3/6/2025
The Colorado Golf Expo has sold out every booth spot for this weekend’s show at the Colorado Convention Center, Expo owner Kevin Morton reported on Wednesday.
Just under 100 vendors will be represented at the three-day event, not counting the eight or nine manufacturers that will be on hand at the driving range/demo area at Hall D.
The hours for the Expo are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Friday, 9-5 on Saturday and 10-4 on Sunday.
Among the organizations headed to the Expo will be the CGA and the Colorado PGA, which will host its usual free 10-minute lesson area. And once again there will be a zone devoted to junior golf. In addition, the U.S. Senior Open (set for June 26-29 at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs) and The Ascendant presented by Blue Korn Ferry Tour event (July 10-13 at TPC Colorado in Berthoud) will have booths.
With the World Long Drive circuit hosting two events in LaSalle, Colorado this year — the Rocky Mountain Rumble (Aug. 15-17) and the World Championships (Sept. 24-28) — one of the biggest additions to this year’s Expo is the long drive presence.
Four regular competitors in World Long Drive, including 2023 women’s world champion and current No. 1-ranked female competitor Monica Lieving of Lakewood, will conduct long-drive seminars/exhibitions each day from noon to 1 p.m., with autograph sessions to follow. Joining Lieving will be Andrew Eigner, Josh Cassady and Hunter Noell.
Also, an indoor local qualifier for the WLD World Championships will be conducted at the Expo, with four competitors in the open division advancing to the Aug. 15 regional qualifier. Then the top finishers on Aug. 15 will land berths in the World Championships. Beyond that, there will be long-drive competitions for various age and gender groups at the Expo.
Overall, World Long Drive local qualifying is set for 10-11:30 and 1:30-6 on Friday, 9-11:30 and 1:30-5 on Saturday, and 10-11:30 and 1:30-4 on Sunday.
In addition to the aforementioned, many aspects of the Golf Expo will remain similar — its focus on being an early-year opportunity to get deals on merchandise, equipment, services and rounds of golf; a place to try out clubs, to get those free 10-minute lessons from Colorado PGA professionals, and a chance to learn more about what’s going on in Colorado golf. And, of course, there will be various contests and the like.
Kids 15 and under will be admitted free to the show.
