Guernsey-Sunrise senior Isaac CdeBaca will further his golf career after recently signing his National Letter of Intent to play golf at Central Wyoming College in Riverton. CdeBaca was a transfer student-athlete last spring from Colorado. He played his high school golf at Wheatland High School and helped the Bulldogs to the 3A state championship last fall. CdeBaca earned all-state in his only season of high school golf in Wyoming.
At the 2024 state championships in Rawlins, CdeBaca had rounds of 79 and 81 at the Rochelle Ranch Golf Course for a two-day total of 160. The senior tied for eighth at the state championship. His score helped Wheatland win the team title by 60 shots.
CdeBaca also played golf at Broomfield High School in Colorado before his family moved to Guernsey last spring.
CWC plays both in the fall and spring. The championships in Region IX are in the spring. Mike Neuman is the Rustlers’ head coach.
