For those hoping to make a last-minute grocery run or pick up a forgotten gift, you might be out of luck if Walmart is on your list. The retail giant is closed nationwide for Christmas.
Most Walmart stores closed at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve and will return to normal hours on Thursday, Dec. 26.

Chains like 7-Eleven, Wawa, and Sheetz are typically open on Christmas Day, though hours could be different than on a typical Wednesday.
Many CVS and Walgreens locations are open, but hours may be limited.
Some smaller stores or specialty markets may have limited hours. Chains like Wegman’s, Acme and Whole Foods are typically closed on Christmas Day, though some regional franchises operations, like ShopRite, may have limited hours.
Some chain restaurants like Denny’s IHOP and Applebee’s may be open for Christmas Day diners.
