Angry NFL fans took to social media Sunday afternoon as Optimum service was experiencing scattered outages in North Jersey.
The outages meant that Giants and Jets fans in some areas could not watch their favorite teams in early afternoon games.
An Optimum outage map showed that about 86 customers had service disrupted in Morris Plans. Another 146 were without service in Mount Olive, along with 49 in Allamuchy Township and 15 in the Lake Hopatcong area.
Outages were also reported in The Bronx, on Long Island and in central New Jersey.
Downdetector showed that reports of outages spiked to close to 4,000 at about 2 p.m.
Some angry football fans took to social media to air their frustration.
Optimum had a similar outage issue earlier this month.
