Little has gone right for Indiana basketball over the past three-plus weeks, and fans are demanding change. Chants of “Fire Woodson” have been heard in Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall as the Hoosiers have lost six of their last seven games, three in blowouts.
The university has talked with coach Mike Woodson about his future, but nothing has been decided. Retirement at season’s end is a possibility, but the situation is complicated.

Woodson and IU agreed on a contract amendment in August 2023, increasing Woodson’s pay from $3 million per year to $4.2 million annually. His contract runs through the 2026-27 season.
