One month into his young NBA career, Lakers rookie Bronny James faces his first significant scheduling conflict.
During his rookie season, James is splitting time with the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers and their G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers. James’ G League participation will reportedly be limited to South Bay’s home games, which are played in the Lakers training facility.
As November closes, South Bay has a two-game homestand that coincides with a two-game road trip for Los Angeles. On Tuesday, LA is in Phoenix to face the Suns while South Bay is in El Segundo, Calif. to host the San Diego Clippers.
With the schedule overlap, which team will James play for? Here is what to know about his availability for the upcoming games.

James’ availability for Tuesday is not yet known. The Lakers will provide an update on James’ status on their official injury report.
Tuesday’s injury report will list if James is available for Los Angeles, on G League assignment, or out with an injury. James has been listed on the injury report lately with a left heel contusion. He last played in a G League game on Nov. 17.
This season, James has appeared in six NBA games and two G League games. After this week, the next scheduling conflict between the NBA and G League Lakers comes on Dec. 6 when South Bay hosts a game during the finale of a Los Angeles road trip.
