Since I assumed the presidency, every speech I’ve made has emphasized our quest for peace and security. No nation or region can prosper in the midst of war.” // “We were left with no choice but to respond. If Israel decides to retaliate then it will face harsher reactions.”

Pezeshkian said that if Israel acts in one way against Iran then Tehran will respond in a more severe way.
Iran described Tuesday’s missile assault as a response to Israeli killings of militant leaders, including Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah, attacks in Lebanon against the group and Israel’s war against Palestinian Hamas militants in Gaza.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said he would strike back at Iran following Tuesday’s (October 1) missile attack.
