NEW DELHI: The IPL 2025 auction landscape became more defined after all ten franchises disclosed their retained players on Thursday. Among the total 46 players retained across teams, only two franchises – Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals – utilised their maximum limit of six retentions.
Punjab Kings took a minimalist approach, keeping just two uncapped players, which consequently gives them the largest available budget for the upcoming auction.
Rajasthan Royals, having retained six players with five of them being capped internationals, will enter the auction with a limited budget of Rs 41 crore remaining.
