IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) – The University of Iowa Women’s Basketball team worked on the Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity ‘Women Build’ house on Friday.
The team comes out every year to work on Habitat’s yearly Women Build, that is almost completely built by women.
Basketball player Hannah Stuelke said this is her third year helping with the Women Build.
“It means everything. Being a part of the Women Build, doing everything for women, for this community, giving people opportunities and giving them a home, somewhere to feel safe. I think that’s amazing,” Stuelke said.
