MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – More layoffs are coming for a Memphis-based Fortune 500 company.
A WARN notice was filed with the Tennessee Department of Labor for Cleveland, Tennessee cutting 115 employees at the International Paper.
The company confirmed it is closing four facilities in Tennessee, Missouri, Illinois, and Texas, resulting in 500 employee layoffs.
This is on top of the 650 layoffs we told you about last week.
Four hundred of those directly affect Bluff City employees.
We have yet to see a WARN notice for the Memphis location.
