CINCINNATI — It’s no secret that the Bengals have some big decisions to make with their current roster.
Guys like Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins and Trey Hendrickson need/want new contracts. They aren’t alone.
The Bengals have other starters that are set to hit free agency next month, including B.J. Hill, Mike Gesicki and Mike Hilton.
Could one or more of their veterans get an extension before they hit free agency?
NFL insider Daniel Jeremiah expects to see plenty of veteran players ink deals with their current teams over the next two weeks.
“I’ll be shocked if we don’t see a flurry of extensions done over the next 7-10 days,” Jeremiah tweeted. “Teams have money/space and the free agent group isn’t very exciting. Good time to lock up your key young guys.”
Naturally, Bengals fans will think of Chase, Hendrickson and Higgins, but don’t be shocked if the Bengals kick the tires on possible extensions for one or more of their other veteran players set to become free agents next month.
