X-Golf Pittsford, an indoor golf facility and bar, has opened in Pittsford Plaza.
Wedged between Lacrosse Unlimited and Five Below, the 7,036-square-foot space features 8 state-of-the-art simulators, a full bar and large TVs for watching sports. A concise menu of casual fare includes house-made guacamole, house-fried seasoned potato chips, a soft pretzel, chicken wings, pizza cupcakes and more.
The California-based franchise, which has a total of 137 locations in 37 states, claims to have the most accurate indoor golf simulators on the market, and the only simulator that can do accurate putting. Nick Ratcliffe, a Rochester native, is the local franchise owner.
Simulators may be rented by the hour; prices vary depending on the time of day and day of the week. Players may take on the world’s top courses, compete in a variety of game formats and improve their swings.
A single person can finish 18 holes in roughly an hour, or two people can play nine hours in that time frame. Golfers are encouraged to bring their own clubs, but clubs are available for rental. Sneakers or golf shoes with soft spikes are allowed.
Lessons with a PGA pro may be booked as well.
X-Golf Pittsford is operating with limited hours until Nov. 15. A grand opening is scheduled for noon to 2 p.m. Nov. 16.
The bar can also host corporate events, birthday parties and more. Gift cards may be purchased at the bar or online.
