Hookset Solutions LLC, a freight brokerage headquartered in downtown Indianapolis, is planning to expand its footprint and add more than two dozen jobs, the company announced Thursday.

The third-party freight trucking logistics provider, founded in 2022, serves clients in the construction, manufacturing, agriculture, and automotive industries, among others.

The company said in a news release it connects clients with a network of trucking companies and provides services including negotiating rates, ensuring compliance with shipping regulations, coordinating schedules and tracking shipments.

CEO Tristan McClone said in an email to Inside INdiana Business that the expansion is the result of consistent organic growth.

“Nothing has been forced, and our niche of open-deck freight is becoming very established,” McClone said. “Our team at Hookset has a very strong customer mix and we want to continue to focus on underserved transportation commodities.”

Details of the Hookset Solution’s financial investment in the expansion were not disclosed.

The company currently occupies space in a building at 300 N. Meridian Street, which also houses law firm Faegre Drinker. While plans have not been finalized, McClone said they will most likely be taking over a 5,000-square-foot office space on the building’s ninth floor this fall.

Hookset Solutions plans to create 30 jobs by the end of 2028. The Indiana Economic Development Corp. is offering the company up to $250,000 in conditional tax credits, which the company will not be eligible to claim until Hoosier workers are hired for the new jobs.
