Kurtis Rourke ‘a little sore with every throw’ but torches MSU in IU win
Indiana football QB Kurtis Rourke returned to action Saturday after missing last week following thumb surgery.
Indiana football quarterback Kurtis Rourke and defensive lineman C.J. West are among the 300-plus players invited to the NFL Scouting Combine starting Feb. 27 in Indianapolis.
Rourke, who came to the Hoosiers as first-year coach Curt Cignetti revamped the roster, played five seasons at Ohio in the Mid-American Conference, starting the past three years. The Bobcats won 10 games in 2022 and ’23 with Rourke as QB.
Rourke excelled at IU, passing for 3,042 yards with 29 touchdowns against 5 interceptions, and earning second-team All-Big Ten honors. He missed one game after surgery to repair a torn thumbnail suffered against Nebraska.
West played four seasons for Kent State before joining the Hoosiers in 2024. He had 40 tackles, including 8 for loss, on the way to earning honorable mention All-Big Ten honors.
