Indiana Futures Game highlights: State’s best boys freshman, sophomore compete
Check out these highlights from Monday’s Indiana high school boys basketball Futures Game at Hamilton Southeastern.
The clock is ticking on Jalen Haralson’s college decision.
The 6-7 Haralson, a five-star prospect and the No. 14 overall recruit in the country in the 2025 class by 247Sports, will make his college announcement at 7 p.m., Wednesday at La Lumiere School in LaPorte. Haralson will be selecting from a final three of Indiana, Michigan State and Notre Dame.
Haralson, who played his first two high school seasons at Fishers before transferring to La Lumiere for his junior year, was part of the USA Basketball U17 National Team that took gold in July in Istanbul. Haralson averaged 11.1 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists for the USA team.
OSTERMAN: Mike Woodson has gone where the talent is, and in 2025 class, that’s in his own backyard.
Haralson’s decision will be shown live on the 247Sports YouTube channel.
Haralson was a dominant player at Fishers from the start of his freshman year. He was offered by Indiana and Maryland before he even played a game in high school, then added many others, including Michigan State, in the summer between his freshman and sophomore seasons. Within a month of taking the Notre Dame coaching position in March of last year, Micah Shrewsberry offered Haralson a scholarship.
Indiana picked up a pledge from 6-7 Trent Sisley, a 6-7 forward from Montverde Academy (Fla.), who played his first three seasons at Heritage Hills in southern Indiana. Sisley, a four-star prospect, is currently the only recruit in IU’s 2025 class. The Hoosiers are also a finalist for Greenfield-Central five-star prospect Braylon Mullins, who took an official visit this weekend.
Notre Dame picked up its first commitment, also from in-state prospect, when Brady Koehler committed on Monday. The 6-9 Cathedral standout is a top-100 prospect on the 247sports composite.
Michigan State currently does not have a recruit in the 2025 class.
Haralson took official visits to Indiana (weekend of Aug. 31), Notre Dame (Sept. 7) and Michigan State (Sept. 14) in recent weeks.
