Indian Cricket Lovers hosted the ICL Independence Cup over the weekend at Veterans Memorial Park and Nike Site Park. The tournament, which consisted of 176 players representing 22 teams, was scheduled to be completed all on Saturday in Parma, but due to rain delays the semifinals and final were played on Monday night under the lights at Volunteer Park in Strongsville. After nearly 50 total matches were played in the tournament, Islander Cricket Club (ICC) emerged as the champions. ICC defeated Dravidians in the final match, which, because of a tie, went into a super-over (a condensed overtime inning) to determine the winner.
