For 90 years, Planters, the nut and chocolate snack company, has offered college graduates with the dream to pursue just that. For one year, three standout job applicants − “Peanutters” − are chosen to drive the 26-foot-long peanut on wheels, more commonly known as the NUTmobile.
As the new year is underway, Planters is looking to hire its next trio of Peanutters for the 2025-2026 season.

The NUTmobile is a 26-foot-long peanut on wheels, Planters’ promotional vehicle driven across the country.
In a nutshell, NUTmobile drivers plan and execute more than 200 annual events across the country, promoting the Planters brand through the 26-foot-long peanut on wheels.
NUTmobile drivers are responsible for securing media in markets across the country, creating a positive brand experience for direct consumer interactions, and documenting and brainstorming creative content for the NUTmobile’s social media.

NUTmobile applicants must have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in sales, marketing, journalism, public relations or communications and a valid driver’s license, according to the NUTmobile job application.
Applicants must be available to work weekends, weekdays, nigh,t and holidays and be willing to travel, as that is an essential part of the job.
NUTmobile drivers are hired for one year, from June to the following May.
The starting rate of a NUTmobile driver is $45,000 annually, according to the NUTmobile job application.
The job also offers medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage, a 401(k) match, a wellness program, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, and paid time off.
The application for the NUTmobile closes on Friday, Feb. 14. Applicants should complete a traditional online job application and submit a creative audition video to be considered for the role.
Available on the Hormel Foods website, the job is listed as “Peanutter Marketing,” based in Austin, Minnesota. Though, the job is solely remote travel.
The first NUTmobile, which was actually just a two-door peanut-shaped car, was built and used by a Planters salesman in 1935, according to the Planters website.
In 1999, Planters unveiled the Mr. Peanut Hot Rod, a 25-foot-long peanut-shaped vehicle. The same year, the recognizable NUTmobile traveled to more than 35 cities.
Over the years, several different NUTmobiles have been introduced and retired. Today, one NUTmobile serves as the full-time tour vehicle, according to the Planters website.
