OAKLAND, Calif. – In Oakland, police officers busted an illegal gambling den on Friday, recovering illicit goods, including guns and narcotics, authorities said.
Search warrants were carried out in the 1000 block of East 12th Street in response to the violent incidents occurring in the area. In the search, an unlicensed casino was discovered.
There, several illegal guns, narcotics, cash, and gambling machines were found. Officers also arrested a person with an outstanding warrant for a shooting in Oakland.
What we don’t know:
The suspect arrested on the outstanding warrant wasn’t named. The amount of money or narcotics discovered wasn’t disclosed.
It’s also unclear if the illegal guns were ghost guns or belonged to people not allowed to carry firearms.
