The International Luxury Hotel Association (ILHA) in the US has partnered with commercial fitness brand Matrix Fitness to enhance wellness offerings in the luxury hospitality sector.
This collaboration aims to integrate wellness-focused fitness solutions to elevate guest well-being through ”innovative” experiences at “high-end” properties.
ILHA president Barak Hirschowitz said: “Matrix Fitness’s leadership in premium wellness technology makes them an ideal partner for ILHA. Their solutions empower luxury hotels to deliver personalised, holistic experiences that resonate with today’s discerning travelers. This collaboration amplifies our shared vision of integrating wellness as a cornerstone of modern luxury.”
The Florida-based ILHA, a global non-profit association for luxury hospitality and travel, will work with Matrix Fitness to share insights and best practices among industry professionals.
A division of Johnson Health Tech, Matrix Fitness offers cardiovascular, functional training, and strength equipment that blends performance and technology to complement health clubs, hotels, and other fitness facilities.
The partnership will focus on the evolving importance of fitness and wellness in luxury hospitality, contributing to the sector’s discussions on emerging trends and technology.
Matrix Fitness will play a role in ILHA’s events, including the INSPIRE Luxury Hospitality Conference in Las Vegas and possibly the Luxury Hospitality Summit in Prague, where it will participate to discuss technology integration and wellness initiatives that meet the demands of modern travellers.
Matrix Fitness hospitality and wellness strategic account manager Rachel Lenzner said: “As guest expectations around wellness continue to evolve, we look forward to working with ILHA to provide industry professionals with insights and solutions that enhance the fitness experience within luxury hotels.”
Hirschowitz added: “Matrix Fitness’s contributions to our community will help shape the conversation around wellness in hospitality, offering valuable perspectives on how hotels can create meaningful wellness experiences for their guests.
“Our 2025 conferences will set new benchmarks for innovation, highlighting trends in sustainability, well-being, personalisation, technology, AI, investment, and growth. Matrix Fitness’s expertise will be instrumental in driving the ILHA INSPIRE dialogues.”
In January 2024, the ILHA entered a partnership with US supplemental insurance provider Aflac.
This collaboration aims to provide luxury hoteliers with access to Aflac’s member-specific pricing, addressing the gaps in health insurance coverage for unforeseen expenses.
