The National High School Football Hall of Fame has announced their 2025 class, which includes iconic names. Jim Thorpe, one of the most versatile athletes of all time, is among the 34 athletes and coaches. Even former NBA MVP Allen Iverson is among the inductees due to his football stint at Virginia’s Bethel High School.
Likewise, also included are Pro Football Hall of Famers Steve Atwater, Warren Moon, Ray Lewis, Richard Dent, and Leroy Kelly. Moon was the first African American quarterback enshrined in the Hall of Fame, while Kelly got his bronze bust in 1994. Atwater is a three-time All-Pro with the Denver Broncos, while Lewis is a two-time Defensive Player of the Year. Dent was enshrined in Canton in 2011.
Finally, Mike Vrabel and Michael Vick made it to the National High School Football Hall of Fame Class of 2025. Vrabel will become the New England Patriots’ 16th head coach once the 2025 NFL season commences. Meanwhile, Vick is a four-time Pro Bowler who will become Norfolk State’s head coach starting this year.
Lamont “ShowBoat” Robinson founded the National High School Football Hall of Fame in 2010 to honor the legacy of exceptional athletes, coaches, and contributors. In addition to paying tribute to these talented individuals, the NHSFHOF also conducts educational programs and camps for player development.
