ST. JOSEPH, MI — Hundreds of luminaries will line the streets of St. Joseph as the Lakeshore town illuminates the holiday season this week.
St. Joseph’s holiday calendar kicks off 5-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22 with three events, the luminary, Window Wonderland and the Countdown to the New Year.
About 30 businesses will be lit up with luminaries and participating in the event including specialty items, giveaways and complimentary gift wrapping.
Dozens of businesses are participating in Window Wonderland, a holiday window decorating contest.
Attendees are encouraged to vote for their favorite windows at stjoetoday.com/vote beginning at 5 p.m. Friday, November 22 until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, November 24.
The Lakeshore town has eight events lined up for the holiday season, including a daily giveaway for shoppers counting down to New Years Day, which also starts Friday.
The daily giveaway will run throughout the month of December. Shoppers earn one entry per $25 purchase (one time or cumulative) at a St. Joe Today member business.
Qualifying purchases must be made between Nov. 22 and Dec. 15.
Shoppers can earn double points for shopping during events like Friday’s Luminary, Small Business Saturday and the Reindog Parade on Dec. 7.
Receipts for purchases must be presented to an SJT staff member at the Welcome Center by Dec. 15. Participants will be entered for a chance to win a $50 gift card to a local SWMI business.
