PITTSBURGH — Two longtime rivals have an important battle for first place in their division on Sunday afternoon, as the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers lock horns in the Steel City.
Baltimore Ravens (7-3) vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (7-2)
A whopping half-game is all that separates the Steelers and Ravens at the top of the AFC North, both teams have put themselves in prime playoff positions in differing manners.
Early on, the Steelers were solely relying on defense to pick up wins. However, once Justin Fields proved he was not going to be the answer to the offense’s problems, Mike Tomlin turned to veteran Russell Wilson. The decision has seemingly paid off. Pittsburgh has reeled off four straight games, three of which came with Wilson taking the snaps. The team has scored over 25 points in each of the games during this stretch.
The Ravens’ defense might not be the most consistent, but at least Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry are doing their part in outlasting their opponents. Outside of their stunning loss to Cleveland three weeks ago, Baltimore has used its offense to come out on top over the likes of the Cincinnati Bengals (twice), the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the rising Washington Commanders. Jackson and Henry are becoming a dynamic duo in the backfield, with the Ravens looking more and more like the team that posted the best record in the AFC last season.
The Steelers are 35-25 against the Ravens, having won seven of the last eight meetings.
