The first grand slam tournament of 2025 is in full swing as the second round of the 2025 Australian Open begins tonight.
By the end of January, fields of 128 men and 128 women will narrow down to two champions. Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek are both returning to the Australian Open following their wins here last year, but there are plenty of marquee names involved in the 2025 tournament. Coco Gauff and Carlos Alcaraz both have a chance to win their first Australian Open titles this year, and Novak Djokovic has an opportunity to make tennis history if he wins his 25th grand slam in Melbourne.
ESPN+ will be the go-to streamer for this year’s Australian Open; you’ll be able to stream every match there, but daily coverage will also air on ESPN and ESPN 2 primarily in the evenings and overnight due to the time difference.
The 2025 Australian Open began on January 11. It will end with the men’s final on January 26.
The Australian Open will air across air across ESPN and ESPN2. To see what’s airing when, check out ESPN’s schedule.
The TV broadcasts will bounce between matches, highlighting the tournament’s best players, but every single match of the 2025 Australian Open will stream on ESPN+. If seeing every match in full is important to you, you’ll definitely want to subscribe to ESPN+.
While ESPN+ doesn’t offer a free trial, the following live TV streaming services have free trials varying in length from three to seven days. If you subscribe to one at a time, you can watch every day of the Australian Open without paying a cent. There are 12 days left in the tournament, while all three trials combined will give you 15 days free.
As we noted above, you can watch every match, including some exclusive ones, on ESPN+. ESPN+ costs $10.99/month, but you can also subscribe to one of our favorite streaming bundles and get ESPN+ with Disney+ and Hulu for 14.99/month.
If you are outside of the US or unable to watch the Australian Open in your region, consider a VPN (Virtual Private Network). Whether you’re traveling or living abroad, using a VPN allows you to stream live TV and your favorite shows and movies using your usual streaming services, without any restrictions. A VPN lets you change the IP address on your device so that you can access your favorite apps and websites whether you’re in the UK, Canada, Mexico, or anywhere in the world.
