On Saturday night NBA fans will be treated to an entertaining matchup when the Boston Celtics visit the Big Apple to take on the New York Knicks.
The Celtics enter this matchup sitting second in the Eastern Conference with a 36-16 record. Surprisingly, Boston is a better team on the road at home, winning 26 of 35 games away from home this season.
The Knicks, meanwhile, sit third in the East with a 34-17 record and playing excellent basketball of late, winning eight of their last 10 games. This will be the first matchup between these teams since the 2024-25 season opener back on Oct. 22, a 132-109 win for Boston.
How to Watch Boston Celtics at New York Knicks:
It was tough to surmise too much out of that matchup, though, as New York added star big man Karl-Anthony Towns and steady wing Mikal Bridges this past summer, and the talented duo was still acclimating to their new team at the time of that outing. This time around, the game should be much tighter. Boston and New York will also face off in a few weeks, on Feb. 23.
The Celtics are led in scoring this season by Jayson Tatum at 26.6 points per game, followed by Jaylen Brown at 23.2 points per contest. New York, meanwhile, is led by Jalen Brunson and his 26.1 points per game, and by Towns’ 24.3 points and 13.6 rebounds nightly.
Tune in to ABC on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. ET to catch a potential Eastern Conference Finals preview when the Boston Celtics take on the New York Knicks in the iconic Madison Square Garden arena.
