Djokovic has a 4-3 career record against Alcaraz, including a straight-set win (7-6, 7-6) in the 2024 Olympic men’s singles gold medal match. Alcaraz defeated Djokovic in the Wimbledon final in both 2023 and ‘24 and won their first ever meeting (6-7, 7-5, 7-6) at the ATP Masters 1000 Madrid in 2022. Monday’s matchup will be their first ever meeting at the Australian Open, which Djokovic has won nine times among his record 24 all-time Grand Slam tournament victories.
Alcaraz reached the quarterfinal round with a win over No. 15 Jack Draper (7-5, 6-1, retired), while Djokovic advanced with a three-set victory over No. 24 Jiri Lehecka (6-3, 6-4, 7-6).
