The Philadelphia 76ers take on the Milwaukee Bucks in an NBA Eastern Conference matchup on Sunday afternoon at the Fiserv Forum.
Although both teams have a lot of top-end talent, the likes of former league MVPs Giannis Antetokounmpo and Joel Embiid, as well as other stars like Damian Lillard and Paul George, neither squad has lived up to expectations.
The Bucks, as of Friday, are 27-22 on the season, good for fifth in the East but a far cry from what people expected out of a team led by Antetokounmpo and Lillard. Milwaukee is just 5-5 in its last 10 outings.
How to Watch Philadelphia 76ers at Milwaukee Bucks:
And if the Bucks’ record looked questionable, Philadelphia’s is downright shocking, 20-30 as of Friday, 11th in the East, which wouldn’t qualify for the Play-In Tournament. That’s a worse record than the constantly-rebuilding Atlanta Hawks and Chicago Bulls.
These two teams last met on Jan. 19, a 123-109 win for Milwaukee. In that game, the Bucks were led by Antetokounmpo and his 34 points and 15 rebounds, as well as by Lillard’s 25 points. This matchup should be different considering Embiid and George should be suiting up in this game. Embiid made his return from an extended absence on Feb. 4, scoring 29 points, securing 11 rebounds, and dishing out 10 assists. As always in recent history, the Sixers’ luck will be largely dependent on Embiid’s health.
