ORLANDO, Fla. – About half of Americans set fitness goals every new year, but by the second Friday in January, they’ve quit in what’s become nicknamed “Quitter’s Day.”
Wednesday morning on Breakfast with Bridgett, a manager from Planet Fitness in St. Cloud shared updates about what’s new in their gyms and how to stay on track.
Brandon Barnes says January and good deals on membership rates get people started, but support strategies will keep you going.
He recommends teaming up with a friends for workouts and better accountability, plus writing down your goals to map them out.
Planet Fitness also offers signups for free training classes and fitness program design help for gym members through their app.
If your resolutions do fail, don’t give up. Feb. 11 is known as Resolution Reset Day.
Always talk to your doctor first about your exercise plans, goals and options best suited for your health, fitness and wellness levels.
