Horse racing dates dates have been announced for the initial season of racing at Thunder Plains Park, according to a news release.
According to the release, a soft opening is scheduled for Sept. 24-25. That will be followed by Grand Opening dates of October 3-5.
Additional race dates of October 10-13, October 17-19, and October 24-27 according to the release.
In regard to Off Track Betting, the release says “Earlier this month, the Laramie County Board of Commissioners approved Thunder Plains’ permit to open three off-track betting (OTB) locations at 714 W. 20th Street, 1734 Meadowland Drive and 1720 Cleveland Avenue in Cheyenne. These locations will begin opening in Q2, with official dates to come.”
Thunder Plains park is located about 10 miles east of Cheyenne.
