CADOTT, Wis. (WEAU) – Dozens of golfers hit the links today to support an organization that builds tiny homes for those in need.
Hope Village held its first ever Golf Scramble at Whispering Pines Golf Course in Cadott, Wis.
More than 80 golfers participated with the goal of raising over $10,000.
Mike Cohoon, Executive Director of Hope Village, explained that the organization has helped 200 people with 70 different tiny homes over its eight years and is about to launch into the next phase.
“We’re looking at building affordable housing units so we’re looking at building 28 affordable workforce housing units and hope to do some groundbreaking in the month of August,” Cohoon said.
Cohoon said the plan is to break ground on one six-plex and two duplexes next month.
